Million Dollar Smile Campaign

Alliance for Smiles (AfS) is launching a new fundraising campaign to support its medical missions. Currently, the base of operations for Alliance for Smiles is China and in the last 2 years, AfS has sent eight medical missions to China, repairing the cleft lips and palates of over 500 children.

AfS has the ability to recruit the finest medical volunteers to travel to China and volunteer for this work. The only factor that prevents AfS from sending more teams is finances. We have planned five missions for our next fiscal year beginning July 2007. We could easily double the number of missions if we had adequate funding. We have the expertise; we know medical professionals who would love to volunteer.

Therefore, we are launching this unique fundraising effort to raise $1 million. We are asking you to participate in buying image squares and posting either a link to your website or a personal message onto these squares. As you buy these units, the repaired face of a child who received reconstructive surgery from our surgeons will appear piece by piece on the site, and you will be able to view the repaired face. Your donation will go a long way to repair the smiles of many children. Any donor who purchases $5000 or more of pixel squares will receive special mention on our main page.

How It Works:

Make a donation by purchasing squares of the image on our main_page. Each square costs $100.	As squares are purchased they will be filled in; your donations will reveal the smile of a child.	We will place a message of your choosing and/or a link to your website onto the squares you purchase.

Any individual, business or group that contributes $5000 or above will receive special mention on our main page.
Buying squares and creating a message is an excellent way to recognize a special occasion such as a birthday, anniversary, wedding, graduation, or birth of a baby. Post your message so the world can see how important this special occasion is. We will contact you to see if you wish to have Alliance for Smiles send a message about your recognition to the recipient.
